Hi

I am trying to find out more info on the Great Swiss Mountain Dog.

Are Great Swiss Mountain Dogs recognised in the Uk at all?  Is there a difference between GS Mountain Dogs and Bernese other than coat length?  Does anyone know any of any clubs or societies for this breed or any websites at all?  Any info gratefully received :)

You can type in searches and find all kinds of stuff online. I don't know if there are breed clubs in the UK. There are in America.

well if you do find one here, please let me know 'cos I have a comission to photograph one!!!!!! :)

Will do Sam!  but so far am drawing a complete blank in the UK :( -  Maybe a trip to Switzerland  is on the cards! :)

If you want a dog from Switzerland I can put you in touch with some breeders as I live in Switzerland.  Even here in it's land of origin the Great Swiss is not a common breed, while the Bernese is very common.

There will be a FCI-SKG show in Lausanne on the 16th and 17th of October that might be worth checking out.
