Hello All.
My next Staffie is booked we pick her up in two and half weeks. Just thinking of a name now. Despite all the information and advice I have decied to go with a bitch - NO I don't think anything will go wrong with the mix of two bitches; but obviously we will all be working hard to make sure nothing does :)
Sal is 18 months now and as sensible as I suppose she'll ever get ;)
Just thinking of a name now. So suggestions welcome, but nothing that sounds like Sal please.
Kizzy is shortlisted - do you remember roots - KuntaKinta's daughter?
She is a Black Staffordshire Bull Terrier Bitch - Thanks Karen

aaah kazz i bet you can't wait!!my ickle 5 months staffy bitch is called candie, and she's brill!!want another one but will have to wait until she's a bit older and trained !!I like ebony, daisy, molly, tia, mia....could go on for ages...
Molly and Poppy seem to be the most popular names used by SBT owners that we have met for their bitches. Bessie seems to be another popular choice as does Pepsi. If we keep a bitch back from the litter we've got planned for later in the year we are going to call her Cagney as mums name is Lacey! I know its sad but I like it.

No not one of Blacke'en's pups but the pup is from Sal's half sister - Blacke'en is the pups gran :) So she will be Sal's niece.
Fav names so far are in no particular order; Kizzy,Cassie,Roxie,Polly.
We are getting her from a breeder who does show his Staffs (to a degree-but not well known, at least I don't think so) We got our current Staff Sal from him 18 months ago. I would suggest visiting the shows and see what dogs you like then even if it's the stud dog get in on the ground floor and contact the stud dog owner. It worked for Mitch ;)

now why didnt i think of that, its a great idea.i dont think he is dead against getting another, he has said get molly sorted with her alergies (dust mites and clover) save some money and then maybe .we are paying between 3 & 4 hundred pound each month on trips to the aht so i dont think we will start saving just yet.

Another tick in his box then :)

u think, will let him stay for a while longer and then bring the subject up again,oh and check the bank balance
Ooh you are soo lucky :) How long do you think youll have to wait? Poor Stinkfoot is getting beside herself waiting to hear from rescue. She saw a nice big red n white Staffy bitch outside the shops today and asked the owner if she could "speak to her dog". Next thing I know shes quizzing the poor woman about her bitches' pedigree, breeder etc :) Ive had more luck with the Gordon Setter Project as Ive chatted to the lady who judged the pups at Ingliston Scottish Breeds and her youngest boy is possibly being studded in the next year, so Ive said Im definitely interested in one of his. They have lovely tempers and the lines ( listen to madam getting technical :D) are just what Id like.

The Gordon's project sounds very positive :) rescues do match you with the right dog. Just be paitent.
We get the pup in about two half weeks :)
