Excellent !!!
Brilliant. Maybe every vet should print off a load and have them in their practice for would be 'breeders'.

Ah but if Vets dissuaded novices from breeding, they'd lose out on a (useless) primary health check, regular consultations for advice, scanning and unnecessary c-sections!! And of course the future clients from badly bred, poorly constructed, sickly pups that are so often produced by those with no knowledge!! Naaa, not a good idea at all!!

Well if it wasn't for new breeders, breeding animals would die out! everyone needs to learn somewhere, ut i do agree that you should only breed if you mangage to say yes at the end of all the questions.
WELL DONE for finding it!
briiliant, its true alot of people do breed their dogs for the money, but little do they realise they could be in debt for a while after.Julia

I have to admit, before I bred my Staffy I had no idea just how money consuming it really was. No doubt unscrupulous breeders who bypass the health checks, worming etc can make shedloads of money, but I certainly didn't make any! I did, however, gain another beautiful, healthy Staffy bitch so it's not all bad!
My vet was very honest with me, telling me that I didn't need to get my dog scanned as after a few more weeks it would be obvious that she was pregnant, anyway. He's always dissuaded me from doing anything unnecessary!

my answer was yes to all the questioins asked and i am only 15 i no we need to continue with new breeders but they need to no the ins and outs of breeding its not all that simple i have learnt alot from people around me
we do tend to put people of breeding from outr pups as we tell them all the facts and anyway we have the pups coverd not for breeding
bye bye for now fiona
