I guess needs must. Some of us don't really have a choice but to scrape ourselves to the pit of despair and sit staring at a screen all day

there are bills that need paying. As to your question how do they cope, I don't, I'm going slowley insane through the tedium but ho hum its the way it is. One day I will be a famous jewellery designer and make millions but till then I have to attend the daily grind at "the office"
Hope this answers your question

I couldn't agree more! I spend all day out on the road visiting customers which does mean once a month I have to go to the office to do my paperwork and that is just about as much as I can cope with.
I cope with offices by offering to rush out for any reason at all - more coffee? No problem, your toilet is overflowing, let me come and look now its an emergency! Need that sent to Finance? Leave it to Lorelei! :D Someday theyll catch on that Im selfish and not ultra helpful.

:) :) same here, I work on quite a big site so a trip to reprographics can take anything up to ooooh say an hour :D :D depending on the weather.
Am I the only one who actually enjoyed working in an office?

Note please the ENJOYED part :D
I now work (?) in a shop owned by a good friend and spend most of my time doing crosswords, wordsearches, x-stitch, etc............. ;) Well,we do sell stuff, occasionally (when I'm not hiding in the back shop

:)
I used to work in an office and I did actually enjoy it, but I'm having more fun now :D

oh my I've just found out today that I have a job with a local family firm doing their admin! I'm actually looking forward to it as for the past year I've been working in a local food factory and I can't imagine anything more boring! I worked in an office previous to the factory for 9 yrs and was ok. I'm just looking forward to no hairnets and wellies to put on when I go to work and able to wear make up and nail polish! I start next Monday and am already planning my outfits to wear as I feel I've let myself go a bit over the last year with not having to get up every day and make the effort as every part of me was going to be covered by the famous PPE!

I have to say the minute I get in the office I switch off. Im lucky enough to work in an excellent atmosphere, where a laugh and joke goes without saying.
Congratulations on your new job Craigles :) Hows Amy and baby doing?
