At what age do bitches have their first season, I have a 6 month old labrador bitch. And should I have her speyed now as suggested by my vet or wait until after her first season. Grateful for any advice. Thanks 

First ask yourself why you are spaying anyway. And if you are happy with the answer then wait till after the 2nd season and spay 3 months after.
