Anyone had one and if so what did you think ?

Seem to have  loads of room in the back and volvos are reknowned for lasting for ever  :)

still favour the 4x4 though but the volvo seems to have loads of space  :)

Get a van! :)
Out of 15 new houses on my estate 4 of them have volvo's (2 are policemen) so they must be decent enough.

Hi Lel

Our last car was a V40 and it was a great car :)  The only reason we decided to change to a different make and model was that despite the space, we knew we would want to get another dog and it wouldn't be quite big enough for 3 Spinoni!  If you are going to get one the one thing I would say is get as big an engine as you can in it - we had the 1.6 petrol and it was a bit underpowered on hill starts etc :(

However, much as I loved our Volvo V40, I love our new one even more :D  We've got the Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi and it is absolutely fantastic! So, much as I would recommend the Volvo V40, I would recommend the Skoda Octavia as even better :D

I've got a Volvo V70 and we can comfortably frit 3 large and one smaller dog in the cack with the seats up.
Volvo are great, our last one had done over 250,000 miles in 13 years and still sailed through the MOT.
Present one has done 150,000 in 6 years without any major problems.
The only downside is when they do wrong it does cost a lot, but I wouldn't change.
