Hi Sophie. My name is Linda and I am owned by 3 Large Munsterlanders. Kali aged 11, Chloe (her niece) aged almost 6 and Chloe's son Chance (almost 2). Do you show/work your dogs or are they just pets? ;)
You'll soon be like the rest of us on here. Totally addicted. :D

Welcome Sophie. I thought I was the only nut with four dogs. Some people on here have even more. LOL. I'm glad you've joined and look forward to some good stories about your dogs. Those Trollers are suppose to be super, nice dogs. Your dogs all sound lovely. I like those hunting breeds....such good dispositions.
I have a 13 yr. old Choc. Lab named Bonnie, a 4 yr old mocha colored Chihuahua named Chulita, a 2 yr old blue Chihuahua mix named Jose and a 9 month old blk and rust boy Doberman Pinscher named Lyric. They are the loves of my life and that's all I do......dogs as I'm retired for all intents and purposes. I spend most of my time doing something with my dogs even if it's sitting at this computer and having one on my lap and the others nearby watching.
We just got back from a long hike in the mountains where I live. The little dogs are better than the big dogs at negotiating fallen trees and other obstacles I discovered today and they keep right up easily with the big dogs. I had to help old Bonnie over one big log and Lyric had no problem jumping it.
Sometimes it's hard to type. Lyric, the Dobe pup comes and wants to rest his chin on my keyboard and sometimes he bumps one of the keys that makes everything disappear. It's a good thing I have somewhat of a sense of humor or I'd kill him. LOL. No...he really makes me laugh hard every day, a very humorous, playful and intelligent dog. I'm lovin' this breed! Maybe he thought he'd try is hand (no, chin) at typing.
Anyhow, welcome!

Hi Sophie and welcome, I am new to this site myself :-D. I only have one dog at the moment,an elderly Mini Schnauzer, I would love more but won't leave dogs home alone and can only take one to work with me. I am used to having lots of dogs around so find it hard having only one. When I retire I intend to have three. You have a lovely mix of dogs, Irish Setters are so elegent and Flatcoats are great too. ;-)

Hi Sophie, I'm new here myself. I have a 9 year old bc x called Missie and an 8 week old leonberger called Maddie. Hope you enjoy this site, I have found lots of interesting and informative advice, mostly about puppy behaviour which I am trying to 'pass on' to Maddie!
Everyone here seems friendly enough and will always answer any problems or queries you may have, be it dogs or otherwise.
Enjoy,
Dee

Hi Sophie and welcome to CD,
Your dogs sound adorable. Tollers are gorgeous dogs and so pretty! I have a 4.5 year old Samoyed called Nanuk and a 8.5 month old Malamute called Tundra. You must have your hands full.....I know I do with just 2 of them!
Anyway, welcome again,
Charlene
Hi Sophie
My name is Jeanette and I live in Denmark. I only have one dog, a chocolate lab girl. Luna just turned 1 on april 5. We've just been through her first season. Oh and I also have a cat, Oliver, he is a big red 8 year old boy.
This boaard is very good. And I can see a lot of differences in how to keep dogs from country to country.
But I have gotten a lot of good advice.
So welcome.

Hi I'm Naomi (bit obvious really) and I own two staffy's, Tammy a 6 year old dark brindle an Jasper a 7 year old red male. Both my dogs are rescue dogs but hope to have a KC registered one from a reputable breeder as soon as I convince my hubby that we can really afford one.
Welcome to CD and it is very additictive.
Housework? What's housework? :D
I forgot to mention I also have a cat, Josh. He's 3, or is it 4?, years old. He's having to be retrained re litter tray

He has always 'gone' outside, but this week he's started going in the house again. Maybe because a neighbours cat has just had kittens. NOT Josh's. He's been 'done' ;)
I much prefer dogs :D At least they tell you when they want out :)
Oh well, I suppose I'd better go for a walk. IUt's difficult to type with a dog's head in the way :D

Hi Sophie, Welcome
I'm one of the nuts Carrie mentioned with more than four dogs. :D I have nine collies, six of them rescues, a hairy mutt, a lurcher and an Afghan. My other half has taken four of them to an Agility show today so it's nice and peaceful with only the pensioners and the youngsters now that they have had a good run. :)

Little Lilly (toller) is such a cute little thing, i can see she is going to be a stunner. The other dogs love her.
She reminds me a little of Lady (irish setter) when she was a pup.
Hi Sophie, (Hi to reddoor and Missie too) :)
Welcome to Champdogs. I have a 6 year old black and white Springer called Bess.

Hello there blondebird, congratulations of you getting an irish, people called me mad for getting one!
They certainly arent the easiest breed to train!! in the house Lady is extremely obeidient and follows commands like the flats, but offlead can go deaf!
One thing ive learned is you have to have recall 100% before you let loose an irish, ive nearly had heartattacks when lady was younger!
But they are a truley wonderful breed, put in a hell of a lot of work when young, and you will have a very loyal dog, but trust me its not easy!!
Oh and you must have a sense of humour! :P
Im not trying to put you off atall, im sure you know all of the above!
I wouldnt change her for the world, she just loves everyone and everything, and is extremely obeidient (90% of the time!) :P

Lol goldrush, people call me mad too :D :D
I certainly am prepared for the hard work my new red ball of mischief is going to be, im actually quite looking forward to it - I know im a freak

well i dont think your mad, you have picked a wonderful breed, they really are the best!
People that called me mad, hold their hands up now, lady is quite calm for an irish, and very good, everyone loves her. :D
Thats great you are looking forward to it, you should be lol!
Youve got 2 years of hard work, then many many years of loyalty and devotion :)
Its worth it, you get so much back from them. :)
have you found a name for the little darling, or are you waiting til you get him?
I know this is original but i love the name paddy :P
its so sweet when i come onto the computer, i have liberty and galaxy on either side of me, with their head resting on my leg, then lady sleeping across my feet, lilly is usually attached to one of their tails!

I don't think you are mad to get an Irish. If you were getting a Gordon though. :D My Gordon girl is bonkers to say the least. :D
Hmm, with Irishes there's only 2 years of hard work, it might be worth looking into them. :D Penny is still hard work after 7 years, she only stopped acting like a puppy 3 years ago.
You are right though, setters are very loyal and devoted.
Hi Sophie
Welocme to the site I am sure you will enjoy your time here. Your dogs sound a joy, i'm looking forward to hearing more about them soon.
I have a black lab called Jazz who is currently upside down in his bed :D
