My 9mth old bitch has just had her first heat, she bled for 22 days. i would just like to ask people if that is normal?as this is my first bitch i have had. and also will it be ok if i put her back in with my male dog?

Yes that's normal. If your male is entire, try & keep them apart for another few days if you can.
Also give your bitch a bath if you can, it won't make the scent completely go away ~ but it will help.

If she has just finished bleeding it could be that she is now receptive??....I would be careful and supervise the reintroduction very closely

My girl, Luna, has just had her first season and she bled for 19 days. According to my vet they can bleed for up to 3-6 weeks!

My friends dog, Freja, also bleeds betwwen 2-3 weeks everytime.
