Bruce has now outgrown his crate and as we only have a small kitchen the dogs now have run of bathroom and the back passageway, shut off from the rest of the house by baby gates,when we go out we have to 'bruce proof' everything, making sure bins brushes toilet roll etc are removed, yesturday mum and me went shopping, i had to go to work to help with the horses as the farrier was coming out, by the time the farrier decided to tell us he wasnt coming after all :( the dogs had been alone 3-4 hours which htey are quite used to on the odd day, got home to discover we hadnt 'bruce proofed' everything but no problems everything was still in its place 3 sleepy dogs, when my 2 younger sisters got home from school we popped out to get curtains for my bedroom, we were gone an hour came home to find 12 cartons of milk had been ripped open and thrown everywhere the dogs blanket was so heavy from all the milk i couldnt lift it, when cleaning i all up i couldnt help but laugh, only to be told its not funny with everyone else in fits of giggles :D , today popped out for an hour only to get home to find that as there was no milk for the dogs to 'drink' they decided that the unopened box of wine looked good,   so they pulled the baby gate off the doorway and opened the wine, how much was drunk i dont know but there are 3 very sleepy happy dogs asleep in the kitchen i wouldnt want to be them in the morning :D

OMG!!! Good thing they coated their stomachs with milk first or they'd be really drunk. The rascals! Yes, sometimes when you have more than one, they conspire together against you. Hope all turns out OK.

One time my daugher spilled a Margarita in the grass in the summer when we had some outside, and the Chihuahuas headed right for the spilled drink. It had raspberries from my vines in it. They got a little wasted themselves. (DANGEROUS) for Chihuahuas. I told my daughter to be more careful next time. She said, "They're Mexican. They can handle a few Margaritas."

Do to the dogs what I do to my son if he comes home drunk (only did it once but then still only 16) wake the beggers up really early with lots of extremely loud noises.

p.s Not sure if dogs can clean up their own vomit though.  Look on the bright side - you didn't have to drive out to pick the begger up from the pavement outside the local working men's club.lol

Oh dear im just thinking what Leo is going to turn out like, this morning was the first time he removed the stair gate from the kitchen when he decided it was time to get up. He's interested in alcohol but at the moment his major fixation is with fizzy drink, yesterday he knocked my drink off the table just so he could have the dr pepper he spilled... and that was after the irn bru incident.

True about a group of dogs tho, we used to have 2 dogs and a persian cat and they were ALWAYS up to something, including the cat stealing chicken from under a grill that was on for them all to share

thanks for the offer of the larger crate margot but bruce is getting better, there is more mischief when Jack is on a high bruce is easily led :D It means that we need to be more vigilant when Bruce proofing.
We had a lovely quiet nightdogs couldnt move :D slept on the settee until midnight and much to their disgust we dragged them outside to go to the toilet never heard anything until 7 this morning - which is late normally 5.30, grateful for the lie in, theyre a bit quiet this morning except that i had forgot to fill their water bowl so they jumped in the bath to drink from the taps but all is quiet once again, we intend to get an anti-bark collar for Bruce so that when we are out the dogs can go back to going in the kennel, at the moment its a giant rabbit hutch and safe haven for the cats to eat :D

took Will swimming the other day, he loves water retrieving launches himself off the bank, we're going back to basics at the mo, sit, stay down etc as even though we saw the dogs working they dont appear to know their names it could be that they are turning a deaf 'un on us but we're giving them the benefit of the doubt but saying that they're coming along great, Melyn is a bit further along than Will but she is spending all her time with my boss i hope to do a bit more next week with Will :) although it does look as if will could have a set back in a few weeks time as he may need a claw or even whole toe removed, he has a claw and toe that looks as if it has been broken at somepoint and after hard exercise he walks on 3 legs so training time is usually cut short :(
