Hi I had a scan done for Bonnie on Friday at a vets a few miles away it was so clear i was amazed ..he even saved it all for me on floppy disc so the kids could see on the PC at home... he is on the border of west sussex so if anyone wants his number message me ...it was great :)

They were great,  now how many pups was it I counted?.........lol.

I've just been quoted £78 for a scan at our local vets and the nurse wasn't even sure what was the best time to have one done although she insisted I would need a double consultation at £20 a throw x 2 + £38 for the scan.

I think I might give it a miss as I am sure the money would be best used elsewhere.  She is 18 days post her first mating today and the suspense is killing me!

Pics would be nice though, as would an idea of how many to prepare for :-)

I had a bitch scanned last year for about £20! I used a lady that usually scans sheep, but also does dogs. Simple quick procedure, no photos though. Mind you she did miss one pup! This caused quite a bit of debate between my wife and myself as to how many bitches were in the litter. My wife was adamant that there were 2, but when i got home there were 3! Pup number ten had been born unnoticed, as my wife had left the bitch to it after number nine had been born (the number we were expecting!)

last year we scanned one of our gilrs and was told we were having 2 ..we had four I think with scans it's best to count what you see and expect what you can't as well we have the photo's but have to admit some people have seen a different number to me LOL if you want to do a recount i can email them to you !!!
