hi,. i am  waiting three weeks to bring my new baby home. he is a smoothcoat chihuahua.he is a treasure . i have two german shepherd dogs and am used to feeding them large meals compared to my new puppy. please could you tell me roughly portion sizes and treats etc. would wet or dry food be better. my other dogs have mixed.its going to be much different i know. please give me rough guidelines. thankyou. i have bought bakers and pedigree yellow bag.

There should be guidelines on the bag guest, which should give you the quantities for size and age of dog.
Might need slight alterations as your pup might eat slightly more or less than the guidelines given but they will give you some indication at least :)

Hiya
The breeder should give you a diet sheet (or verbal confirmation) and perhaps even a couple of weeks worth of food that he is already familiar with. They will also advise you of suitable and/or which treats the pup likes. I'm sure your breeder wouldn't mind you contacting them prior to collecting him to get all this info.

never mind how much; concentrate on the "what", IMHO I would feed neither of the two choices you have selected.  You might want to think about a food that contains the least amount of salt, sugars and colourings which would probably optimise your dog's health; something like Burns, Naturediet or even JWB
