We have a gorgeous 8 month old staffordshire bull terrier girl. For fun we would like to show her however we are worried about her ears. They are almost fully pricked (very, very slight bend/drop at the end). I understand this is not desirable and wonder how badly we'll be penalised. Also, do ears change over time, or is this how they will always be? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Ears can be affected by teething, although they usually droop...

Hello.
I would take her to a couple of "open" shows be they breed shows (ie just Staffords) or general open shows with a class for Staffords (look for one close to you) and see what the judge says. I would not myself ask other Stafford owners to have a look and give an opinion - rely on either people you know and trust or ask the breeder of your pup? Do they show or does the owner of the stud dog show? send them a picture if you live a distance away and see what they think Staffords shouldn't have prick ears but they may not be as bad as you think :)
A good guide is normally what the parents ears were like? ask what the other pups in the litter's ears are like too?
