I have a 15 week old Springer Spaniel pup, who is sick everytime I take him in the car.  He starts by drooling and after a very short time (about 6 or 7 minutes) he is sick.  I have asked my vet about it but they said there is nothing they can do except sedate him for long journeys but I feel this is a bit extreme. I am trying to just sit him in the car to get used to it, but even without moving he starts to drool.  Is this somthing he may grow out of?  I would greatly appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer.

Don't feed for at least a hour before journey.if you have a crate but him in it and cover with blanket.if you don't have a crate try to stop him looking out of window.this may help. my pup was the same she did grow out of it

here's some ideas.
there are some great homeopathic remedies that work wonders for travel sickness.
A cage is a good idea as he will feel safer in a cage even though his space is restricted ~ he will feel more comfortable.
take him for very short trips to start & always to a nice place, drive him to the park, drive him to the woods. Try & avoid driving him to the vets. You need to get a good association with the car.
You could try feeding him in the car if he loves his dinner. Take his food bowl to the car, pop him in, feed him & back inside.

I would strongly recommend the homeopathic remedies from personal experience, I have seen very sick dogs almost miraculously "healed" after a tiny white magic pill ! :)
