Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / dog eating his own poo!?
- By Guest [gb] Date 25.04.04 18:16 UTC
Recently we have caught my dog eating his own mess. He has been a bit strange lately
and not his normal good self. Before we could of left him while we went to work and there was no accidents, and now we are lucky to have one day without a mess being left.
We have also noticed that when he is being walked he is eating loads of grass,n could he be ill or lacking something.

Thanks
(ps he is not left for any more length of time than before and its not extreme periods and not every day)

Could be he's not well, worth checking with a vet if you think hes not himself.

Could be a dietry problem as well. However, in many cases I believe dogs eat poo because they enjoy it! They also enjoy eating eating grass, particularly new growth.

I'd say if he doesnt seem himself then check with the vet. If he seems 'fit as a fiddle' then dont worry, just try and clean up as quickly as possible!
