Did anybody show here this week?  How did you do and where can I get results?
- By sandrah Date 23.04.04 20:30 UTC
Think it only started today, we are there on Sunday.  Fosse Data are doing the results unfortunately so you will be lucky to see them before Monday lunchtime.

I went to WELKS on Friday with my B/W ESS puppy.  We had a great day we won puppy bitch and got BEST PUPPY in BREED.  Her last puppy class as she will be a year old on the 4th May.

Hi,
We were there yesterday (Sunday), and I burnt to a crisp, couldn't believe it, but am suffering today...
I got 2nd in Post Grad Bitch with my bitch,Scarlett and we took Lorenzo (Climate Controlled) for Jayne as she is in the USA, and he took Best of Breed and Pastoral Group 2......., so she was really pleased when she phoned.....
It is a lovely show ground down at Malvern, but a suntrap, as my poor shoulders are telling me today !!!!!! :(
Well Done to all other winners.....Gabrielle x

Gabrielle,

I was walking about with my show catalogue on my head and still got it burnt, I had to put a cardigan on so that I would not get anymore burnt, although I was sweltering in it. :-)

I am only burnt from the elbows down and of course my poor head.

Congrats on your results.
- By Gabrielle Date 27.04.04 10:29 UTC
Thanks Blue,
We were pleased with the results, and pleased that Lorenzo did well for us....... He loves Jayne to bits, so am pleased that he has settled with us while she is away......... She loves her ''hedgypig'' to bits, so is obviously very happy about his win......
I didn't realise how strong the sun was if I am honest, it felt warm but bearable, and of course, you can never see yourself burning !!!!!!! I am still suffering and am bright pink in colour........ I wouldn't feel so bad if I was one of those people that went brown and tanned instantly, but I ain't that lucky..:D
Hope your head and elbows are a little better..

hi karen,
Yes it was a good day sunday, storm is coming on a treat!we are very pleased with her.
Its like everything else though,it all rides on if he judge likes your"type" it can be very disappointing if he doesnt(i know we were really naffed regarding storm at the southern!!)i just wish there were more MPB classes it seems to be all PB at the moment which makes her job alot harder!!
As for zena shes just a star, she always tries her best and i couldnt ask for more, shes my babe!!
I was VERY naffed at the couple of bullies which had been left in cars though,do you know who they were?and did the rspca break in the cars?it was a very hot day,we had damp towels over ours dogs and a constant supply of water........roll on the summer!!(cant complain though it was a beautiful day!!)
Are you going to the birmingham show in a few weeks?will probably see you there(although havnt bumped into much of you lately)
How is jans leo?any further developments yet?hope he is doing ok(hi ya jan if your reading this!)
Anyway see you soon,

                                              sam
- By Lollie [gb] Date 27.04.04 13:00 UTC
Hi Sam, i did see you and meant to come over but didn't get around to it, spent most of the day keeping Macy cool and an eye on my son!!!!! I didn't find out who the people were that left there dog in the car (would like to do the same to them!!!!!)
Yes i will be at Birmingham, will make an effort to come and say hi. I was a bit dissapionted with Macys result she did everything i asked of her but it just wasn't her day.
bye for now (just finished work time to go home, Hurray!)

We took a 5th in Puppy and a 4th in Post Graduate which wasn't bad for our first Champ show! Was far too hot though and some of the dogs were certainly struggling to perform in the heat.
- By Gabrielle Date 27.04.04 21:04 UTC
Hi Nikki,
Can't take the credit for handling tho'....... You know me, I only go in if I must... My friend handled them both, and did a really good job. I did the bathing, drying etc......... Lorenzo had gotten dirty running with the girls, so I bathed him, and was desperate to make him look as nice as Jayne does, with perfect straight shiny fur...... It took me 2 hours, but he looked really nice, so I was pleased that I hadn't let her down..... Scarlett was her usual self.. played up for me, but was as good as gold for Louise who handled her....... I can't blame her, she loves her mum !!!!!!!!

Congratulations on your win and group placing :)

Sorry to hear about the sunburn..
I was there on Sunday but luckily had remembered to put some factor 10
suncream in my show bag (always try to see the weather forecast the day before and
pack the suncream if it's at all sunny), so plastered it over the 'exposed' skin at 8.30am
on arrival at the benching area's. Got some strange looks....but at least I
wasn't sporting the 'red lobster' look at the end of the day :)
It was a contrast to the weather that they can have - 2/3 years ago it was
howling wind and rain..and someone else remembered driving in snow to get
there one year!

Hope your sunburn is soon better, there's an excellent aftersun product called
Banana Boat Skin Care - Aloe Vera Gel. This is wonderful and has helped me
when I've been daft enough to forget the suncream!
You can buy it in Boots and I think Tesco's may sell it too, probably in most chemists.

Kind Regards
Kirstine

Hi Kirstine,
Thanks for the congrats, will pass them onto Jayne as well.........
I read your e-mail yesterday and went out and bought some of the aloe vera....... Have to recommend it to everyone, it is brilliant !!!!!!!!!!! I had the first decent nights sleep since Sunday last night, and I don't feel nearly as sore this morning.
Thanks for the tip,
Gabrielle x
