im thinking of adopting a king charles caviler and was wondering if any one knows what differnces they are between the bitch and the dog pros and cons

The bitches have two seasons a year & the dogs don't basically. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are a breed that the dogs & bitches differ littlle in temperament & character(well they shouldn't do if they are bred right). the dogs can be bigger than the bitches but necessarily, the dogs can have more coat than the bitches but not necessarily

I have dogs because I prefer them to bitches in any breed & I am not interested in ever breeding again so I cannot be tempted if I had a lovely bitch to breed.

Ive never had a CKCS bitch but have had a dog, he was incredibly loyal, a great, friendly dog, he loved kids, adults, older people etc. He lived until he was 16 and wanted his morning walk right up until he died.
so i would definitely recommend the breed and just because i didnt have a bitch i would recommend the dog.
The only bitch ive ever had was a rescue dog and she was lovelly too

I've just bathed mine for tomorrow all four of themThey are so laid back I have problems getting them to stand when drying them :D

If you do decide on a Cavalier ensure the parents have all the relevant tests & are not too line bred Also ask about Syringomyelia in the lines, one of my boys is a carrier sadly(his lovely father had to be pts with it :( )& most modern cavaliers have a line to a carrier on their breeding My boy will not be used at stud(not that any of mine will)until more research into the DNA of it is done, I'm waiting for the DNA sampling paper work for all of my boys.

I own 3 girls  at present.I always said I wouldn't have a boy mainly because I've always had bitches, but recently I've taken in a 7 month old and a  4 month old as  rescue's while I found a new home for them.I've since changed my mind about  owning a dog ,I found them just as easy to train as my bitches and they were equally as affectionate.I'm sorry now I let them both go to their new forever homes and I may in the future treat myself to a little boy
