i was given details of your site by a neighbhour. i have been reading and have come to the decision not to ask. as a novice. i am nervous anyway, but have read some answers and think they are harsh.if someone comes with a question. if it is clear they know nothing everyone pounces. only people who know it all anyway have a chance.they alone are taken seriously

Hi Guest, if you think your question might have been asked before, then you could try clicking on the Search button, and the answer your looking for might be there. It's a pity you feel the way you do, because this site is a great source of information. You might gain in confidence if you lurked about and spent some time just reading, without actually writing anything.
I do hope you change your mind, I've been addicted to champdogs for nearly two years now, I love it.

Hi guest, ask away, it does not matter what replies you get it is up to you to be honest with yourself and decide which information to take and which to ignore. Many people are straight and to the point because they care deeply about dogs not because they don't like people. ;)

Sorry guest but as you say you feel you cannot ask a question but you do feel free enough to slag us off I can only assume you are a troll.
Good night. John

Especially when posts with titles like "thankyou nursey" appear and are having a dig at the valid advice given. I think that post has disappeard now.

I'm afraid that if the guest is afraid to ask ,maybe they already know there is something wrong with what they were going to ask about....if you know what I mean

It did cross my mind that this was maybe a troll, but I was determined not to prove 'it' right. Pity I missed the 'thankyou nursey' post, I could do with a giggle.

hi guest
i've been a member since january 2004 and to be honest with you, i felt like you, nervous, don't want to ask a question cos people might think i'm silly etc.
but people are very nice, very helpful and only want the best for everyones dog(s) don't be afraid of asking, cos otherwise you won't know what the problem/solution may be.If someone replies to your post and u think they're giving u a hard time about it,don't take it to heart ;)
i reckon you would enjoy this site, myself and my wife have learnt so much from it and met honest, caring people who want to listen to our problems and its good to have people like this;) but still don't know how to put smilies in though!
gary and louise

must admit Ive always felt comfortable asking questions
Everyone has always been helpful :)
If you want to come on public posting forums you need to develop a thick skin as you will not always get the replies you want to hear. These are only words on a computer screen, not real live people, persay ;) ,you dont have to worry about what a bunch of strangers think of you anyway, just let the comments you dont like roll off your back.
Champdogs is absolutley the best dog site i have ever been on,i have learnt so much here and i continue to learn something new everyday,i think this site is invaluable to novices and experienced folk alike :D The vast majority of members are very nice and very helpful, you learn to avoid the ones who wind you up ;)
I have had my fair share of arguments here due to differing opinions but it would be a very boring place indeed if we all agreed, thats how you learn,by listening to everyones individual opinions,it is up to you which ones you take on board.
So welcome to our lair little girl, come in and join us,But BEWARE once your in you will never be able to leave :D
I'm thinking of setting up a support group for champdog addicts,i just cannot go 1 day without getting my c.d fix :)
