although i want the best for my new chihuahua pup. is it possible for him to leave to come to us at ten weeks.i know thAT SOME LIKE TO HOLD THEM LONGER.he is weaned. i have everything ready.it will be easier to travel to him at ten weeks as my hubby will be at home to drive me to collect him. at twelve weeks. it will be a case of travelling alone. proving harder. will the breeder be persuaded. will it not be best for little one.to do this. just a thought. thankyou for replies .have no-one to accompany me at later date.also when i asked breeder on phone about innocs, she said she doesnt like to give them so small,i didnt know whether she meant she wasnt going to give them at all. i spoke to my vet who said find out now. i am seeing breeder and pup next week. i will ask for details. if she doesnt take him for jabs. i will pay her to do this for me. or sort it myself. this is another reason. i want him home. to give him best start i can. any advice. details arent finalised yet.i know what to ask. but will i get her back up. he needs innocs.

It's normal practice for breeders of toy breeds to keep puppies till 12 weeks, so I doubt your breeder will be persuaded to part with one of her babies at 10 weeks. She''ll be conserned with what is best for the puppy not what is most convenient for you. It's like me trying to obtain a pup at 6 weeks instead of 8, the breeders just won't wear it.

I can't see a problem with having both innoculations done by your own vet, a chihuahua is easily carried for socialisation, if it can't go down for an extra week or two.

Many toy breed breeders don't vaccinate their puppies until they are much older and stronger to be able to cope with the vaccine.  Considering the same dose is given to a chihuahua and a great dane puppy .....!  The breeder has the pups best interest at heart. 
i want him home. to give him best start i can Why do you think that you can look after him better than the breeder?  You will certainly get the breeders back up if, before you even have your puppy, you won't be guided by her experience and knowledge of her breed.
