Can anyone help? We seem to have cracked our Chess's fussyn eating habits but can anyone make a suggestion regarding the fact that he will only drink rain water? I have tried putting milk and honey in tap water, spring water(volvic), bringing rain water in the house to put in his dish but nothing seems to work. He will only drink in the garden and only rain water, which is fine at the moment, but what do I do in the summer? Any suggestions?

Can i ask how you cured ches's fussy eating habits?
My dogs (shih-tzu's) prefer cooled boiled water as it doesnt have the chlorine taste to it.

Hi

I* haven't so much cured Chess's fussy eating habits, rather stopped worrying quite so much. He eats when he's hungry thats all. He won't however eat alot of meats in tins or sachets, mostly dry but i give him a treat once a week of sandwich meat of cuts when we go shopping. We buy him a big bag and he loves them. I can't crack his drinking habits though. Keep trying cooled boiled water but still going to the big bucket of rain water in the garden. I'm not sure what else to do.

I've done it!!!!!
Chess wont drink tap water, but he will eat ice cubes!!!! I'm so relieved. I think he likes the texture, he can crunch them like his dry dog food. I wish i'd thought of this sooner instead of worrying.:@)

Hi Cavalier

Not sure I can help really because Our Chess is REALLY fussy. We have just got a field spaniel with a gluten allergy and are starting to look at gluten free foods for both of them. Have noticed there a lot of "lite" foods on the market. Maybe best to look at these foods. Good luck with your new arrival! I bet she's gorgeous.
