Can somebody give me any advice on how I can start my own dog walking service, regarding insurances I will need to get, etc.
I went onto a site which asked for £340 to set up a business, which I obviously do not just want to send off without researching into this more.  Also if anyone knows of any sites which would be useful to me, if they could please let me know.  I have 3 dogs of my own, and have cared for pets all of my life.  I am thinking about this seriously as a part-time job, and am not naive around dogs.

I live in the Kent area of the UK, and would appreciate any sites which are British as all of them seem to be American!!!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

www.dogsit.com is the site for the National Association of Registered Petsitters - cover all types of day care for pets also - including dog walking. They offer insurance in their membership - 3rd party liability is a must.

Good luck.

Becketts has given the best site for getting accreditation and insurance and advice.  I am starting up my own business at the moment and you will definately need insurance and to research the idea and decide where you are going to advertise, what sort of vehicle you will have,
etc.

good luck
