My dog started developing some odd symptoms, out of the blue, 9 days ago today. It started with a flickering of the left eyelid ... not moving or darting of the eyeballs though. We took her to the vet, and they found nothing physically wrong with the eyes (pressure good, no inflammation, no cuts or scratches, etc.). About 5 days later, she started becoming pretty weak in her limbs. She involuntarily picked her left front paw up for the first two days. This subsided, but now she is week in every limb ... she shakes standing up, but not when she walks or lays down. The eye flickering stopped. She lost her appetite about this same time. We took her, at the advice of our vet, to a neurologist 3 days ago. We had an MRI and spinal tap done. Both came back negative ... all is well with those tests. Her blood work was also normal. There are no signs of ear infection either. Her personality changed the same time the weakening of the limbs started ... she seems depressed, or just sick. I'm leaning toward idiopathic vestibular syndrome, but she doesn't have the eye darting mentioned. My wife and I feel so helpless right now, because she isn't herself and we aren't sure what it wrong with her. Anyone have any thoughts?

Sorry just gone over you post again. Don't know whether you want to ask your vet about Cerebellar Hypoplasia. As my little girl started shaking in her legs and she seemed really depressed, also stopped eatting for a couple of days. But she never showed anything with her eyes. My vet told me this wouldn't show up on a scan or in any tests done. And she was diagnosed with that.
Could be something totally different but its worth asking just to rule it out.
Goodluck, would like to know how she goes on.
