i know all puppies chew things up but is there anyway i can stop mine tearing paper of the walls and pulling up lino when i am out. She has to be on her own most days for about an hour and just latley have been coming home to find she has ripped up the floor. Is it because she bored or worried? Is there anything i can do to stop it?

Has she got toys to play with and to keep her mind active so she doesnt get bored? my rottie used to do this from time to time, i bought her toys that kept her mind active and the chewing stopped.

If she is only left for a short time a crate is ideal - it will save your house and keep her from swallowing anything harmful while you are not there.

I agree, a crate is an absolute life(and wallpaper, lino.etc) saver...especially for only an hour at the most...use it properly and it makes such a difference to life with a pup. I use one for both my older dog and my pup, and they're great...
