Hi all
My 5 month old lab Buffy has just had her 2 bottom canines knocked out.
She was playing with another pup, they weren't being aggressive just chasing each other but there was a lot of mouthing going on. Anyway i noticed a bit of blood and thought that she had bitten her tongue, after a closer look ii realised that these 2 teeth were gone.
I'm not sure tho if they were puppy teeth or adults.
I was just wondering what age their puppy canines fall out?
Thanks Debbie

Would think it 99.9% likely to be the milk teeth, the very front ones the incisors are normally lost first followed by the canine at about 5 months.
Hi Jackie.
Thanks for replying so fast. I have just had another look and the top canines are still her milk teeth. She is starting to feel sorry for herself now. Do you think that i should add some water to her dinner tonight to soften it up a bit. She isn't over keen on it soft tho.
Thanks again Debbie

Debbie, most dogs don't really notice very much except when one is half in and half out. I would feed her as normal and make sure she has something to chew on to help remove loose teeth and aid the new ones coming through. Think she may be responding to you feeling sorry for her rather feeling sorry for herself ;)
Hi Jackie
I think your right about her her responding more to me. Thanks again for the advice.
Debbie
