We were looking at camp sites for our main holiday we take our own caravan with 2 dogs so it has to be excatly right for our needs and noticed a couple that do day kenneling so you can leave them on site being properly cared for while you go sight seeing. I would'nt do this everyday but maybe 2 or 3 times on our stay (were going for 2 weeks) mostly we go walking with our boys round towns beaches etc but it would be nice to have a break from time to time. Haven't done this yet as weve only just found the site down cornwall but its our alternative to kennels for two solid weeks.

Hi,
have you got any details for this park? We take our dogs caravaning with us, but it would be good to go somewhere they could be left for a day while we go exploring on our own.
thanks Karen

I am going to Cyprus so I would need someone to look after Jazz for two weeks, but I dont want to put him in kennels.
Michelle :)

We are going to Cyprus in Oct and Abby is staying with Caroline our dog trainer as she does house boarding i am happier with this as I know that she loves Caroline and is very happy when she is around her(Caroline is the pied piper of dogs) and while she is there she will carry on with her training. If you go to a trainer ask them if they do this or if they know anyone who does.
Hope this helps

Sparky is coming to Cornwall with us in May, but in August we are off to New York for a short break, then to crete for a week straight after. He is staying at the place where we go training - kennelled during the day, but given a 15 minute run and play with other dogs in secure fields every half hour by one of the trainers he knows. They take him as their "model" for training for one of their sessions, too, so he won't miss out on his weekly fix. In the evenings, he doesn't stay in the kennels, but goes home with one of the trainers who lets him sleep indoors, in his own crate.
He gets so excited to going to the training centre that this seemed a better alternative than letting him stay with a relative who might not be able to give him as much attention as this.

For Jazzywoo,I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you,I've been rushed off my feet and this is the first time on CD for days,Sandra.Just e-mail me direct and you have more chance of catching me,Sandra.
hi jazzywoo, would it not be possilble for your breeder to look after your dog while you are away, any time we go away our breeder is more than happy to look after suki, plus she get,s to play with her, mum, dad and sister for two whole weeks,so it's really a holiday for suki as well!
