just wondered if you can take your dog to a dog show if you are NOT showing?

I am learning about the show world, and am planning to go to Malborough show and Bath Champ show soon, Just need to know if i have to go alone! :)

Yes definately at champ shows and as a general rule at open shows, only entered dogs are permitted.

Don't worry...there'll be LOADS of stalls ...you can buy lots of nice things to take home as an apology to your dog for not taking him.Just take the cheque book!!
My daughter can't wait for our next champ show...it'll be the first since she got Zara and shes saving ALL her pocket money even though Zara can't go!!..no doubt she'll spend some of mine to!!!

Yes I can as I got the schedule in the mail about 20 minutes ago :-D They are on the first day which is Saturday 14th August. We're not on 'til 2nd day so will probably miss you :-( Would be nice to meet up with some people off here (or should I say all that are going) Don't want to offend! :-D

Bath Champ I think there may be a cutersy tent which all unenterd dogs can go into for the day where they are kept an eye on, normally costs a doantion to the charity running it though some ask for a minimum donation of £2

Only take your dog though if settled with other dogs and is ok with strangers, Also as the tent is outside the neterance you may want to take a cage rather then leaving him benched!

i met up with some people of here at crufts it was good fun i think they do do that tent thing there i would take a cage they are safe that way
