HI guys

i am sooooo confused  We thought that Jazz had started her season on friday, even the stud owner confirmed it, but now i am not sure :(
On Friday she started dripping pale watery brown drips.
On Saturday NOTHING!
on Sunday (so far) NOTHING!
i have tissue tested her for the last two days and there is nothing there!
'It' looks different, although not yet swollen,
what shall i do? she was booked to go to the stud next sunday which should have been the 10th Day but there is no blood or discharge at all now, so i don't know what to do.

Please experienced breeders, i am calling on your expertise!

OK, Emma, we're back to that 'relax' word again .... :D

Is she peeing more than normal?  If so, she may have a water infection, take a sample to the vet and get them to test it.  If this is the problem, you'll probably find she'll start her season a few weeks after the anti-biotics have cleared the infection.

As for booking to take her to the stud on Sunday :D - how convenient!!  I'm not being sarky, but there really is no point booking to take a bitch to a stud on any day.  When she's properly in season, take her when she's ready - could be the 4th day, could be the 19th!!

Hi Marina

I didn't 'book' her in, thats the day the stud owner said to take after i told him that she was dripping.
I know i can phone and tell him different so thats not the problem, I just don't understand why she would start dripping then stop, last season i was not waiting for it si i did not notice until she was bleeding lots! she is not peeing anymore than normal so don't think that its a wee infection, as i have explained before i am new to all this and am desperatly trying to do everything right, with a lot of help from you lot on CD :D

Same happened to me a couple of years ago. My cocker bitch Emma started showing a brownish discharge an slight swelling. We had been waiting for her season to start and  we contacted stud dog owner. Five days into season and discharge gone swelling gone. Phoned stud dog owner and told her what had happened. Thought she must think that i had imagined the whole thing , but Emma being Emma came back in season properly 2 weeks later! Phoned stud dog owner again but waited until Emma had been in for a week this time.
