I am soon to pick up my leonberger puppy, i am worried about the fact we have steps into our house, and no back entrance!
Will it damage the pups bones climbing the 3 steps twice a day??
I cant really lift the dog up, when it gets older!!!
Any advice??

Three steps is no problem. I would not like a puppy climbing stairs several times a day (Although I appreciate people living in flats may have no choice) but just the odd step or so is nothing. If you can persuade the puppy to walk up and down rather than jump off the top step so much the better but some puppies wont take NO for an answer! Just do the best you can and you cannot do more.
Best wishes, John

Are you really only going to take it out twice a day??????
good grief , lets not jump to conclusions Anwen!...... the poster has only said that there is no access to the street from the back of the house, not that they dont have a back door or garden! I would imagine that "twice a day" refers to the "walk".
