my bitch is just under 6 months and i was thinking of taking her to working shows but im not sure if there is such a breed as working cocker spaniels is there???

working cockers are the same breed as normal cockers, but they will look different, normally less coat, lighter and more able to work all day!

Not sure what you are asking Guest? As Ice Queen says, Working Cockers are Cocker Spaniels but you wouldn't get anywhere showing one at a dog show as they look so different to the show-type Cocker. Working Cockers are bred to work not show :-)

Why not join the forum because there are a few of us here that have working cockers, and also lots of gundog owners that could give you some ideas on where to go for some training, clubs to join etc. My working cocker is a pet, but he does obedience which he loves and he is starting agility this year which is something else working cockers excell at, just because you can't show him doesn't mean there aren't lots of activities for you and your working cocker to enjoy.
