the newly granted affix list is available on the Kennel Club Website if anyone has applied for one. It changed today so anyone that has applied in the last month should be able to see if theirs is on there

Hi Emma, I applied and was granted a temporary affix in February and was told that I would have to wait until end of April before knowing if I could use it or not, have just had a look at this site, and my Affix is not there, does this mean it has been rejected?

don't know anything about temporary affixes sorry. I thought you just applied for the one you want and that (if granted) was your affix , so not sure

well thats not fair!! i sent mine two weeks ago, and they never arrived !! i had to resend them yesterday and they got them this morning so i have to wait ages now :(

Hi, me again, is there any way I can check to see if it was granted in March, I got certificated dated 26th February, but they said postings were quarterly so I assumed that meant I would not be able to use it till end of April.  It was a standard issue letter. Can anyone please help.

you can use it about a month after you get the certificate providing the KC don't contact you and say it has been contested, so you should be fine, give them a ring 2moro to make sure, they are really helpful on the phone :)

go to the KC website then click on dog register at the top, on the left will be affixes, click on that then, and a load of writing will appear, somewhere on the page will be a 'click here' in blue (you gotta look close) and click on that, it's the only click her on the paeg apart from the download forms bit :D

Wouldn't it be useful if the put the breeds as well as the affix?

yes it would but does it make a difference? i thought the word was yours and nobody in any breed could use it?? am i wrong? (probably )

sorry for not putting my breed but its Labradors,ive owned them for years,studied them all the time ive owned them read as much as i could abought them and still learning different things everyday so im not just going to be one of those hobbie breeders,that dont know what thier trates are,or just init for the money,because ive spoken too the best and been advised by the best,and my first labrador puppies may be due june which all homes will be vetted.Oh yeah New affix too be used in 4 wks HOPEFULLY Sandridge.  Julia+Meg

thats great Sandrige, good luck with the affix, i like it :) and good luck with the pups, i am still waiting for my bitch to come in to season, but the stud is booked and ready for us :D.

I hope one of mine is accepted too, they told me i should hear by end of next week, so fingers crossed.

I too have been reading everything and anything i can get my hands on to do with staffies and dogs in general, it all leads to more knowledge and you can never have too much of that :)

Hi Emma, phoned Kennel Club, thery were really great, Affix granted 26th February and published in April Gazette, so just have to wait and hope no-one objects, will let you know what it is when I know everything is ok.
