I wonder if anyone could help me - Glazby always has a bit of gunk by his eyes which we wipe off however this morning when he came into the bedroom he had it all over his eye (on the top lid as well as in the corner.
We bathed it for him but I wonder if I need to take him to the vets to have a look at him? Do you think its possible that he may have hayfever or conjunctivitis and is bathing it the best course of action or should I see a vet to get some drops?
Thanks
Hayley & Glazby
You only have two eyes and no spares so always best to get a vet to check out eye problems :)

It sounds like an infection, what part of the eye is affected does not matter any problem with the eye needs treatment sooner rather than latter, there is always the risk of ulcers developing if a condition is left untreated. So of to the vets as soon as pos.
Thank you - I'm calling the vets now to book an appointment for him asap. I know that dogs do get a little bit of muck but this reminded me of when I've had conjunctivitis in the past.
