I am looking to rehome another cat into the family once we move :)
We already have Gus ( a staffy) and Noodle ( stray cat) and hopefully we will have another girly staffy later this year but would love to rehome another  cat
Noodle is female so how do we introduce a cat to another cat without too many issues. Really dont mind whether we have a kitten or older cat
Is it best to get another girly or a neutered male ????
Help please :)

Fom experience, Lel, males are more "cuddly" than the girls - so it depends whether you want a cat that wants to be with you all the time - and will climb your legs to be with you - or whether you can enjoy a cat that suddenly says - hey = I want to lurve you at the most inconvenient times!!!

So - its back to you again!

Honestly I really dont mind :)
Noodle only likes cuddles when she feels like anyway but she does like cuddling (usually At night)
Just want whichever is easiest to get on with Noods and to give another nice home to another in need cat :)

I'd say get a fella otherwise Gus will not be too impressed being the only male in the house :-D  :-D
It would be easier to introduce a kitten to Noodle, but there are so many cats in need of homes ~ I'd say go for an adult & after my recent visit to Battersea I am very tempted to rehome an adult cat too (at which point hubby would leave me ~ I'm sure!)
From smudgley (aka snoopy1) who lives in an all female house.
My hubby feels left out as he's the only male around. :-D

Do you think she would accept a male better than a girl ?
As I say - I'm really not fussed as long as I can give a much needed home to another cat - and theres hundreds of them wanting one

I don't think it matters Lel. If Noodles is friendly towards other cats, then I'd just look for one when the time's right & whoever takes your fancy, boy or girl ~ then that's the one.
I think a girl or a neutered boy would fit in & make friends with Noodles just fine.  :)

Well thats it - dont really know what she likes
Shes accepted Gus ( after 18 months) but she hates it when other  cats come near the window/garden etc - she goes ballistic :(

Havent a clue
she turned up and never went away - shes not a kitten but not old either - I'd say probably between 4-6 ???

Noodles will probably take to a male - youngish - better than another female.    She will sulk at first - hiss - bat him/her away - but I would suggest you feed her first, newcomer second (even put newbie in your crate for a day or two - so that she gets used to the smell of him - eventually they will settle.

Hi Lel,
I've got a male cat, quite unfriendly, just comes to you when he feels like it, which isn't very often so we were worried he would be evil to our new arrival.  Chula is a siamese girl and he LOVES her, I don't know if she brought out the soft side in him or something but he is a different cat - much more affectionate with everyone!  I don't think he would have taken well to another male as he would have seen it as a threat on his territory and I could imagine there being lots of fights.

If you get a kitten maybe she will try to mother it, i have a female she likes to be stroked but hates being cuddled
