hiya all, my girl is 7 weeks today, when roughly should we see pups moving? we have had 2 scans now, one at 4 one at 6 weeks, all is ok, heartbeats seen etc, we cant seem to find info on this part! no, not even in b.o.t.b!!

any clues??

oh, and another quickie....how long to most of you leave it til whelping box goes up?

im quite organised this time, my last litter everything was pretty much last minute! ive got everything 'ready to go' in the garage, piles of newspapers,millions of bits of vet bed aquired from this years crufts, i must make a note in future not to buy any until ive finidhed looking around, or it gets rather warm carrying loads of bedding all around you!!!

Put the whelping box up now if possible to leave let your bicth know its there, try to encourge that its her bed and her privicy so hopefully she will realise that its a safe and quite place to birth the pups.

Not sure when you see the pups moving!!!

Hi, My bitch is 6 weeks today, I haven't got her whelping box ready yet. I'll have to get organised, I'm planning on getting a disposable one this time. Not sure what size to get, anyone got any tips, I've got a Stafford. If I remember rightly when I was looking on a site, it says they come in sm, med, large & giant.
It said med for Bull Terrier and large for SBT, which I thought was strange, I would of said BT were bigger than SBT.
When you got your bitch scanned at 4 weeks did that confirm the pregnancy, or did you have to go back at 6 weeks to confirm it. On the 6 week scan did they tell you how many she is carrying.
My bitch was scanned at 5 weeks, they confirmed she was pregnant, they could see 2 pups, but said I could have another scan nearer the time to have a better idea how many.

My bitch had 6 last time, but I don't think I noticed any movement until the last week. There was a lot of movement in the last few days.

My bitch is nearly 6 weeks too. We had her scanned at just over 4 weeks an 10 pups were seen

My bitch is 59 days  and I can see them moving if she lays on her side.I've been able to feel them moving since day 50

hiya mitch, yep we had a confirmation of pregnancy at the 4 week scan, could easily count 4, although they said that last time she had 9!! all i needed to know was if she was or not! as we compete in agility, we had to organise which shows we could enter with our other dogs etc with out her being able to come along!!

the six week scan showed several heartbeats, so we know all is well, and they are still there!

the box is making its way in later!! i need to tidy some toys away first!! kids that is not dogs!!

ive seen them move today!! so im happy now!
ive clipped her belly up too as she has about a week and a half to go, so all is now in and ready!
