About 8 weeks ago Britney came in to season at the same time as my Newfoundland, we mated Megan but not britney, Megan had her pups at the begining of the week, but today Britney started to loose blood again, could she comeing into season again her 2 previouse seasons have been 6 months apart. Britney was deninately in season as she was swabbed by the vet on 3 occasions. Any idea's

Did she have a full and proper season then, sometimes if the season is brought because another bitch is is season but when it isnt really due, they dont have a proper one and so come back in.

I have known bitches come back in when there is a big upheavel in the home such as changing homes, going into kennels, whether because your other bitch has got pups and the change of routine has upset her I dont know but it could be possible.

I would check her thoroughly to make sure it is a season and not the beginnings of pyometra.

Sorry no more ideas at the moment

It happened to my bitches last time. The younger brought her mother (who we wanted to mate) into season. The older bitch had a 2 and a half week season, didnt ovulate, stopped for a week then had a normal season and was successfully mated (about day 36 from the start of her "brought on" season!) Do check with the vet that there is nothing wrong, but other than that dont worry about it.

We had Britney swabbed 3 times as we were thinking about mateing her, on the 3rd visit to the vet me said that the swab indicated that she would be ready to mate in the next 24hours, but in the end we decided against mateing, she went on for another 10--12 days before she was clear. I will take her into the vet on monday for a check but she is fit and playing so do not think it would be much

I have had  Britney my dogue de bordeaux to the vet as she came back in season they did the swabs again and thought that she may have a cyst or a polip but it turned out be be neither and the swab said she was ready for mateing so off hubby has gone up north at get her mated, three days without him, but we got an email from the breeder they had, had the first tye within 1/2hour of her arriveing, Just hope all goes well from now
