i have a two year old rottweiler (storm) i am just looking for some imformation about the right time to start mateing, and how long will her season last, and at what stage of her season is the best time to mate her, how long there carrying for, any thing i can find out  i would be so greatful .  thank you for your time  j. pearson

You need to make sure your bitch is hip scored with a good hip and elbow score.
She needs to be a good example of the breed with a balanced temprement.
No rottie should be bred before 2 years old and the above tests with the results done.

If all this is done you need to look at her pedigree and find a dog that complements it
and a line that has as few problems as possible.

Start by asking the bitches breeder for their help, they will tell you the sort of breeding lines you should be looking at as a stud for your girl and when you do sort out a suitable stud make sure he is health tested too.
