Just had to tell everyone, I went and seen my dachshund puppy yesterday. He is 4 weeks old now and is beautiful. Well, they all are. The mum and dad are beauties aswell. I was to pick the one that I wanted but as I am going to show the baby, the breeder recommended that we wait until they are 9 weeks. I couldnt pick anyway, there were 3 black/tan boys. All cute and I couldnt stop myself going all gooey. There was one who who was gumming on my fingers and licking my hands, I just wanted to put him in my bag!!!.  I also ordered a puppy crate yesterday as I know they are a good idea. We are thinking of names ans we like Prince and Nico but we're not sure what do you think?

Names are very much a personal thing wait and see what the pup is like when you get him home. Be guided by the breeder if you are seriously thinking of showing and have lots of fun.

Had this problem recentlt...pup was to be Ziggy,then Turbo but when I went to collect him he was just Frankie....it just suited him!!

I knew that i wanted to call my pup Merlin, and the breeder was brilliant as she asked me for some suggestions and we settled on mystic knight, that goes well with his name Merlin. But as said before names are personnal to you. so have fun.
