I have one of these got it yesterday with a wireless keyboard and a flat screen at last.

Now the mouse stays on all the time ie there is a red light underneath and a little green light on the top that comes on when I move the mouse. Is it supposed to stay on when the computer is turned off? I dont think it has anything to sit on when it is not in use although there is an oblong thingy that lights up when I tuped and has the word connect on it. but the mouse doesnt sit on it properly so I think it is part of the keyboard. The little book that came with them doesnt really help.

As you can see I know a lot about this sort of thing :p :p

Sorry I can't help but your message has made my day !. So cute !!.

We are still hoping to get a wireless mouse/keyboard so I'll be interested in the outcome of this !.

Hope you get sorted.

Val.

Oh dear hope someone can help. Shall I take the batteries out or leave it 'alive' all night.

I suppose all models differ but my wirefree mouse has a red light underneath on all the time. When it is in it's charging base the base light flashes red whilst it is charging and there is a permanent green power light on the base.

If you cannot 'park' your mouse how does it keep it's batteries charged? I certainly wouldn't like the thought of having to remove the batteries every night and if it has rechargeable ones it shouldn't be necessary?

Might be an idea to re-read the manual (don't they make them complicated things) and see if it makes any more sense or take it back to the shop for advice.

Thanks Porkie. I dont think mine is rechargeable as the oval thing is called a 'receiver'. I am glad that the red light is supposed to be on all the time.

I must say for a cheap package of mouse and keyboard it is very good. Will just have to see how long the batteries last. Now I know I like the wireless package I can upgrade one day :p :p
