What's her Kennel Club name, Kirsty, maybe that will give us some ideas?
As her Mum's a Carristina, how about Carrie?

My fave name is Moya, mum stole it and gave it to our setter (was going to be what I called my first aussie!)
Also like Noko, Coco, Xena (or Zena), Rio,

My fave is Shyla, although somehow I've never got round to using it. (Any readers who are fans of Pat Conroy will know where this came from!)
Told someone the other day I was going to call my next pup Mabel ......... they laughed ....... a lot LOL.

hi all
i have been trying to name my Stafford bitch she is red and white and only 5 weeks old so far i like
Connie
Willow
Gracie
Roxy
does any1 thinkkk these would suit a stafford bitch
By Carrie
Date 15.04.04 21:01 UTC
Yes, they're great names. I think it's really cool to name a dog something that is not what you picture. I mean....like a Stafford is quite a sturdy dog. So, I think it would be cute and funny to name it something really super feminine like Priscilla. LOL. Then there's Fay, Faybelle, Bella, Scarlett (red dog), Demi, Claire, Clara
When I bought my Doberman, I was not about to call it some super masculine, tough sounding name, like Jaws or Killer. So many people think they're demonic as it is. I am really into music and like the sound of some musical terms. Some are better for girls and some better for boys. I like Allegro (a), Cadence, Celeste, Caprice (capriccioso,Capriccio...in a fanciful or capricious style) Aria, Arpeggio (pron:arpedjeo) Andante....there's lots of them. Some are a little too long, but might have nick names.
For my Doberman, I settled on Lyric. Short, two syllabels, crisp, attention getting. (or so I thought) LOL.

OK...here are some more: LOL!
Odette
Ophelia
Athena (Goddess of Wisdom, skills and warfare - Greek and Roman)
HERA (Wife of Zeus - Goddess of Marriage - Greek and Roman)
LUNA (Goddess of Moon - Roman)
IDA (Goddess of Youth - Old German)
VENUS (Goddess of love and beauty-Roman)
JUNO (Wife of Jupiter - Queen of Gods and Goddesses of marriages -Roman)
Carrie (No...not Carrie, I'm just signing off. LOL!) (Well, if you want, Carrie...it would be unusual for a dog, but why not?)
Hi
My girl a chocolate labrador is named Luna. That is a sweet name :-)

Names are a struggle to choose just the right one. My Chocolate Lab is also named Bonnie. I had a GSD named Ajax (pron: Aye-ax) sort of, I've had a Ginger, Bruno, Rebel. My two Arabian mares were named Brisa and Filinha. (they came with those names) Another horse, Sky Rocket, also not my choosing, but I called him Sky sometimes. (He was born on the 4th of July-Independence Day) I think Luna is pretty, soft and short. Well, something will hit you just right.
Yes, sometimes you can go off on a theme, not names per-say, but like the musical terms. How about famous writers or composers. Mozart, Schuman......hmmm
