Hi, Its Baileys 1st birthday on sunday, ill have to get him a present! I was just wondering, who else gets their dogs a present for their bithday?

having a party for my pups first birthday in a few weeks.  getting more excited than I am at my own birthdays.  Havent started on the presents yet but sure there will be loads for her.  Having a party at the house for dogs and children and if the weather is nice a picnic at the beach after.

One of my long standing classes (dogs reached their ceiling ages ago they just come for the social) every time it's a dog's birthday that week they buy cream cakes for the people and a bag of goodies each for the dogs.  Whenever any one new joins the class they think they have to do it too so it is a tradition that has been going on for years. :)

Well we may be a bit silly but even after 20 years or more with our family of Cavaliers we ALWAYS celebrate birthdays by singing in the morning .... yes dogs and us and then we have a birthday tea.  They have meat peices on their dinners and we have a cake with the relevant number of candles.  These are in reality not dogs but our family and we just love them.

I also always send a birthday card to puppies we have sold on their first birthday and find that this sort of cements the date for their owners.  We have been invited to many puppy parties over the years and still receive a card from the people who bought the very puppy we ever sold.

My dogs are twins so share the same birthday (obviously) They love fresh cooked chicken, so always get  one to roast for them on their day, they can't believe it when they get the breast meat too! :D
