Been in touch with the breeder that I got her from and she agrees that she is too old to have a first litter.  Now I know for definite, I will have her spayed its just that I feel sorry for her as she has not had puppies.

Guest, a bitch does not suffer if she doesn't have a litter ;)  My Golden Retriever is 14yrs old, and is quite happy never having had pups.
