For the past month or so Ebony has been sitting at the patio doors and just stairing outside if i make her come away she imediatly goes to the side door and rattles the keys to go out. If i then let her out she will sniff all the way round the garden and sit and watch birds, kids anyone thats out really. We regularly have cats that cross our garden aswell.

Bearing in mind she is a dobe I would like to think shes guarding but im not sure.

she just loves to be outside rain or shine but Zak different again he prefers to be curled up at my feet infact he has done his emptying just outside the door this winter . Talk about chalk and cheese.

All mine like to be outside if it is fine but my bitch will not even go out for a pee if it is raining have known her go for hours and hours. 2 of the boys would spend the whole time out there, as long as the doors open of course.

My two are like that also, when out down the local river, Zac is  straight in the water regardless of how cold it is. Whilst Ellie is loathe to get her toes wet, hates the cold she will sit in front of the fire and look at me as if to say " come on turn the damned thing on".
