Hi all,
Holly is still holding on to her puppies and it is all I can do to stop pulling my hair out! Her Temperature has dropped though today to 37 or about 98.6 it has been there all day and she is actualy shivering all day today where as before she just shivers in the evenings. I am hoping this is the day we have all been waiting for! Do you think this is enough of a drop to be significant? she has been 37.5 - 38 the rest of the last week. Keep your fingers crossed for her.

- By Silverghost [gb] Date 07.04.04 17:31 UTC
She is still shivering, and has been out several times and each time she is emptying her bowels which is not usual for her to go every time she goes out, apart from that very little happening yet, I am just setting up my supplies for the night! the duvet & a jar of coffee! lol How is Crystal and her babies? I hope they are all thriving now.

Hi All
Thank you for keeping everything crossed for us but STILL NO PUPPIES! She shivered violently all night and is still shivering now, but no panting or pushing, at one stage she refused to move to go out to the toilet, which she never does, I thought it might be happening but nothing! I am tired, fed up, stressed and going to see a vet today! This surely cannot be normal? The vet said last time if she is eating and generally ok in herself ( other than shivers) that she should be on the right track, I am just a bit concerned as the easter weekend approaches, and if I need a vet they may be harder to get hold of at the weekend, so I better go now. I think she is too scared and won't let anything happen? Is that silly? but she has been shivering since last Thursday every evening and now all day yesterday aswell, surely she can't hold off much longer?   Well it has totally confused me! lol

Hi All
Don't want to get you all excited, I am doing that enough myself! but Holly is PANTING! this must be a good sign surely! she hasn't don't this before and I havn't take her for a run or exercise before you all ask! She is shivering violently too. I think we have lift off!

Jo & a panting Holly!
- By thumper73 [gb] Date 08.04.04 08:14 UTC
I really hope this is it,Crystal was panting for a few hours before she started pushing,
i really feel for you as i know what you are going through, what day is she now?
im sure she was due before Crystal,as you say if she hasnt starting pushing come this pm,i would contact vet as you say its easter weekend and the vets will be harder to get hold of,i am hoping and praying for you that today will be the day, once again good luck

Hi Mandy
Holly is 68 days now from 1st day of mating but she had 2 and is 66 days from 2nd mating. She is still shivering and panting on & off so I really think it could be today, at least I hope so, I don't know how much longer I can go on with this! Hope Crystal is being a good Mum, I will keep you informed of any progress, and I think we will at the very least ring the vet this afternoon if no more progress is made.

Good luck.  There was only one thing I had when I was sitting with Tam and that was a book.  Tam started panting just 3 hours before she gave birth.

Hope everything happens today and she does really well.

My sister has a few wigs if you're interested :)

Hi All
I think we are done! Holly has 9 Puppies all present and correct, as far as I can tell at the mo.  She had the first 5 in an hour from 6 to 7 had a rest and had 3 more from 10pm to 11pm. Thanks to everyone for all your support and kind wishes over the last (what seems like a century) week or so. If anyone would like a pic let me know as I have some of the little stripey bunch! (for those that don't know Wiemaraners only have their stripes for a few days when they are born so they are quite unusual at the moment) I am pleased as punch now and she is being a terrific new Mum.

Many congratulations. It must be such a relief! Very big hug for Holly. Oh I want a puppy! I keep saying I want a girlfriend for Sam (17 month old Weim). I am supposed to be leaving it 'til next year (I'm 40 then and that was going to be my pressie to myself) but don't know if I can wait that long. Especially not when I feel like I've been through a Mummy Weim's delivery with her, lol :-D

Good luck and hope that they don't have you pulling any more hair out :-D

Love from Helen, Sam the nutter, Alex (son) and Holly (daughter) :-)

P.S Please could I have some pics? Please, please, please :-D :-D :-D Starting to get really broody now :-( Oh husband dear .....
