Have been told there are ringcraft classes in Partney - anyone have details or who to contact? Or know of any others not too far from Louth?

Where about to you live there is a ringcraft, also on Tuesday, at Eastville/New Leake at the village hall and I believe there is a general dog training there on the Wednesday.

We live at saltfleetby - Eastville would be fine. Do you have any idea of time for Tuesdays?

7.30 but they are inclined not to start till about 8.00 as everyone has a chat. What breed do you have?

Thanks everyone - hope to see you there a week on Tues. At least you'll have a laugh as wheatens are notorious fidgets and my new little boy seems to have more than his fair share of ants in his pants! :D Am hoping to teach this one to free stand and as I have only ever "stacked" before will be looking to Jackie for a few tips!

Would not if I were you, I'll be taking a 7 month old who has only had one ringcraft and one show for experience and the only thing he is any good at demonstrating is how to be an idiot, and how to make a noise. :) He's very good at both.

We'll have a matched pair, then!

If you wish I can email you the calender for ringcraft for the year because I produced it for them. I've got it in a jpeg file of 191kb
I've not attended myself recently and my bitch is in season right now so won't be there next week either but hope to go back soon.
Just let me know if you want it sending.

Think Fillis may have come across noisy elkhounds before, Jackie. Did you used to go to Dukinfield ringtraining, Fillis? I remember some wheatens used to go there when Spooky used to go to ringtraining, a few years back. Those who know Spookette know she is somewhat vocal, and still has her wild moments in the ring at six years of age. Have finally given up showing her to concentrate on the dog - he's quieter.

Hi Ness, you may be right but I doubt Fillis will pick up many tips from me, not known for my handling skills ;) at least this one is not as bad as The Sod but he is going through the 'bark first in case they think I'm a pushover' stage, followed of course if they take no notice, run behind Mum and hide.

Yes, we did, with the older two. Have acquired (bred) two more now. Werent you thinking of getting a border terrier? I am very used to elkhounds - my brother and sister in law have one (now a pensioner) along with a mad great dane.

OK your forgiven. Was pleased with my lad yesterday and he behaved so I think they will let us back. ;)

Shush Fillis, that is one of my guilty secrets! Along with a liking for Chihuahuas - whoops let the cat right out of the bag now ;-). Need to sell one of the (human) kids in order to make room on the sofa for another breed - maybe one day.
