Hi,
Just thought I'd let any of you going to Ryton on Dunsmore to the Conexion for a show know, that while there today there were three yobs who I saw going round the cars. Later they came careering at speed over the "grassy" area where we all parked. They did an abrupt stop beside a young lady who I had met earlier who had pointers. Leaning out of the window of their white van one of them, yelled at her "Where'd you get one of them dogs? I want one", then he said something in a much quieter tone which I couldn't hear properly, but the lady was obviously upset by what ever they said, she immediately called all her dogs close to her, and went straight back to her vehicle. I think she then decided to leave the venue. I stayed close by while this was going on so they knew that somebody was watching them.
I was very concerned at the speed they were going over the grass as I know many exhibitors allow their dogs to run free in this area. They would not have been able to stop if a dog had run in front of them in time.
I have heard this venue is in a very rough area, notorious for cars being vandalised and stolen, I had never witnessed anything like this before there or any where else.
Anyway if any of you are showing at this venue do bear this in mind in future.

We were there yesterday - and have been there a few times.  Never seen anything like this.  It's a shame as it's a good venue.  Yesterday we were there for a whippet show in the cricket hall, and the other hall had Rotties.

Will definitely keep that in mind in future.

Have also know people have their windscreens broken and items stolen from the car, one was right outside the entrance hall. Must say I always remove the security thing from my radio and make sure if I leave a dog in a cage it is double locked, know that would not stop anyone but the dogs would kick up a noise so hopefully there would be time to get there, mind you what I would do then I have know idea.
