I have a 10 month brindle puppy who has begun mensturating. could you please tell me how long her cycle will last and additional information I should know.

She will be inseason for an average of 21 days. The most fertile time is usually in the middle, but it's possible for her to become pregnant at any stage, so keep her away from all males dogs for at least 3 weeks. Never let her outside unattended, not even in your own garden. And buy a copy of "The Book of the Bitch" which will tell you all you need to know.
