I have just mated my bitch on day 12 and day 14, 9 after a 6hr round trip both times !!) the second time there was a 20 min tie and the first time they mated but didn't tie but were held together for about 12 mins. The problem is that she is spotting fresh looking blood now which is a week later. This hasn't happened after my other bitch was mated. Does anyone know if this is a normal thing to happen, in every other way all is well. Thanks in anticipation of some helpful replies.

Yes, it hasn't happened to my bitches but I have heard of it happening from friends with no ill effect at all. If it is only slight I wouldn't worry much about it.

It just happened to mine - 2 days post the tie - little spotting but watery looking - very slight. We'll see what happens. . .Janet R.
