Erk my 13 year old has put a semi hair colour on her blonde hair.. which is now a fetching (not) shade of red/pink! :o
Shes washed it lots of times but its not shifting... any ideas?

Thank you!!

I use colour on my hair and I'm sure I've seen on the shelves a product with the dyes to remove it as well
Maybe the manufacturer has a website with their range on it where you could check. Otherwise you could always tell the hairdresser you did it for a bet :D

21 washes with a semi i believe! get your sleeves rolled up!!!!
you  could always get a blonde colour & stick that on the top!

Hair dressers or pink/red hair, I know which I would prefer ;)

wouldnt she be better putting on a darker colour rather than a blonde as the blonde could turn full on orange

Id just keep washing rather than add anything else colourwise
goodluck :D

maybe! or fall out!

what colour hair are you aiming for?
- By Donnax [gb] Date 01.04.04 08:50 UTC
Very true lel :)

Im not sure what colour to aim for anything would be better then the shade shes got right now! She said.. oh well ive always wanted to be a little punky! (i had to laugh :) )
I think i'll have to talk her into a trip to the hairdressers ... She hates going.. but i guess its tough luck :p

Cheers all

Donna,

Best to leave it actually unless she actually wants darker hair,  The probably with semi permanents is they tend to stick to any dryer parts of your hair.

She would be best to wash it a few times everday for the next week it will soon fade.

A dandruff shampoo, like Head & Shoulders will help shift it quicker!!

Nearly every one of my daughters friends have had to go to hairdressers to get their hair sorted at some point. Normally at the khaki green stage, after applying many colours to try and correct whatever they have done. It would be sorted in a couple of hours. I think they can actually strip the dye from the hair but that may involve bleaching. They are the experts and they know the best ways.
Kids who'd have 'em!!

Hmmm glad I didn't do anthing like that!  I leave all the colouring/cutting/anythign to do with hair except brushing!  To my hairdresser!

Don't try and sort it out yourself.  You will most likly make it worst!  My advice is leave it and let her set a new trend! or go see a hairdresser (like someone has sujjested, you dont have to tell them the truth!!!)

Have fun, at least the colours not on the dog!!! (last year just before cufts there was a dog with a pink ear!!!!)

All her friends will probably want theirs the same when they see it anyway :D :D

washing up liquid is the best thing I've found to remove colour.  After a couple of washes with that it should be gone but you will need an intensive conditioner to restore the condition.

Been there, done it, got the t-shirt and baseball cap.  Now, being slightly older :D and much wiser, I'd let the hairdresser sort it.  She does still want to have hair after all!

Purple shampoo works, it helps get rid of the brassyness. It worked with my hair anyhow when hubby put blond streaks in it and pretty much colored my whole head blond  Then I had him put in brown streaks. It worked a charm with the purple shampoo after :)

good luck

Do you get the feeling that I might have had to use Head & Shoulders in my dim and distant past Donna??!! ;)
- By kayc [gb] Date 02.04.04 19:29 UTC
