hi yesterday we went to see a rottweiler girl who was advertised in the loot, anyway we went to see her she sounded super on the phone, they wanted £300 for here she was supposed to be kc, 5 generations of history etc, we explained to the man that we lived quite a way away and he agreed to meet us, it took us 2 hours to get there(only half way) when this poor girl got out of his car i was astounded to see this supposedly super looking rottie, i nearly burst into tears, i could see her hip bones her ribs her coat was dull and mattednear her little stump
what was i suppose to do? i has no choice but pay the man and i took her imediatley, not the said asking price, on the journey home she was very sick and all that it contained was baked beans! she does'nt look a day over 7mths they told me she was 10mths+ oh and by the way when i met him he err coudn't find her papers anywhere! she is very nervous out on the lead, very posseive with my other girls toys but she is super in house and with my 3 young children, if anyone has any advice they could offer me i would be very grateful.
thank you claudine.

Probably not what you want to hear, but my first trip would be to the vets in the morning to check for a microchip and see if she's been stolen.  :(

Poor girl, a Catch 22 - as long as people have kind hearts and can't bear to see an animal in that state, it will continue.

sounds like a very good breeder,{ if you can call him that}. as long as she has been vet checked and everything is okay then just feed her up to the weight she is supposed to be and love her. dogs deserve better than what some scumbags inflict on them but like brihow collies said its a catch 22. give her a cuddle from me.

a lady i know was recommended by the rspca to go see this rottie that needed rehoming she had just lost her dog and decided to go and see it - the owner of the rot had died of cancer weeks before and the son couldn't keep it and as usual the rspca couldn't be arsed to take it on - she went to see it and the dog was lovely with her but hated men and went for her husband, this dog was also said to be excellent in every way kc reg and all that - just goes to show you can't trust an ad in the paper or an rspca inspector!!!! the best place to rescue a rottie from is the rottie rescues  as they know what the dogs are like.

i had only heard of one rottie rescue in my area but when i rung the number it wasn't in service i have tried the internet no joy. i would rescue one no problem if it had the irght temp and got on with my kids and other rotties, but the poor girl we bought the other day, i phoned the bloke just today, i knew she wasn't 10mths and he now says she is around 8. he also reckoned she had a season 4 mths ago! some people know nothing, they think they can get a dog and near enough abandon it as if it is their ritght. she is very nervous when out but we are correcting her and making her sit when she staarts to bark at passers by, she looks a different dog already! her coat is coming on her  a treat and she seems as if she has put a little weight on, we are giving her 3 small meals a day.
