I have two fantastic German pointer puppies, who in all respects are well trained, and well behaved. However, the elder puppy(8 months and male, the other is a 6 month female) has recently been barking in the evening(7-9), before he goes to sleep. I know he is going through his adolescence period and he is going to be a little more highly strung, but i would like to calm him down a little. Both pups get a more than an adaquete amount of exercise, and get enough attention from me and my partner so i dont think they are bored, so what could it be? I am considering purchasing a collar that jettisons a squirt of water when he barks, but i am reluctant to go down such an avenue if i can avoid it. Any ideas?
