Hi! =) My name's Allie and Even though im in Amarica I just wanted to tell somthing about my win =) I  got 3rd Place in the Novice Jr.Showmanship!!!! which was my first placement  in a dog show. I thought that i wouldnt get a place ment for a number of things... 1) I was late I was practicing with one of my trainers But I made it just in time thanks to my mom finding me! 2) I droped my Number while I was going around the ring 2 Times!!!!! I was TOTALY embaresed. But i kept on smiling. When the Judge was giving the placements at first I didnt belive it. I burst into tears of happyness and embaressment when i went over to my mom. What a Day isnt it?? =)

The next day she was picky of the treat and wasnt intrested in me. and she wouldnt show her pretty little face when i was stacking her=/. I belive I could have had a placement that day .. cause the judge seemed to have an intrest in me.
she only likes real meat or something that smells reealy good. bah picky picky picky.

Also another story. Going to my first dog show before the other one it was in the summer and boy was it hot! in California. Plus I was wearing black =/  I was up first, AND the judge didnt Keep us in the shade. So here I am waiting for the judge having my dog stack for like 4 mins. and while the judge is pulled away 'which i think someone told the super attendent about us being in the sun with our dogs.' Roxy, my goldie after waiting too long got out of her stack Right when the judge came back to us! I also think she sensed my uneasyness
I cant Wait till my next show!! Cya! ^^~

Well done Allie!!!  No wonder you wanted to tell someone about your achievement; you should be very proud of yourself and Roxy :)  And it's probably the first of many successes to come :D

Welcome to Champdogs :)

Well done you always remember your first time. We all get nervous and do daft things don't worry about it.  How old are you. How many goldens do you have.

My very first golden retriever that I had was called Sadie, that was twenty-three years ago and I bred from her and at the moment I have four golden retrievers all decendants of hers. One old boy, her great, great, grandson who will be 13 in July and three girls, 7, 2 and 20 months. The 2 year old had pups in Jan but we didn't keep any. I show the 20m and she is doing very well. She got a 4th and 5th at at Championship Show 3 weeks ago and there were 28 in one class and 32 in another so I was very pleased with that. Her brother (my friend owns) has just qualified for Crufts next year and I bred him.

I live on the south coast of England and the weather is getting better and after we had walked across the fields today the dogs were dirty so we then went to the beach and they had a wonderful swimming and playing, bit cold for me to swim I just threw stones in the water for them to chase.
