Can anyone tell me what vets charge for hip scores to be done.
I had a dog done two years ago and was charged just over
£200-00. Is this expensive or the going rate?

I phoned around and was quoted £140.84 as most expensive to £78.96. The BVA charge seems to be about £23.00 an the rest varies so much.

When I had my dogs done, the cost was around 90.00 and that included the KC fee. this was about 12 months ago

Wow! only £90-00, including the k.c.b.v.a. That does seem cheap
to what I paid. I am sure I paid in the region of just over £200-00.
Any way thanks to everyone who answered, I shall question my vet
when I get a firm quote if it is £200-00.
I hate it that some vets will charge a lot for hip score to be done as
it puts so many people off from having their breeding bitches done.
Nutkin.

what area are you in ?? it should cost from around £80-100 plus £25.30 to the bva for the actual score. i would expect they took a number of plates for it to cost £200 ?? or otherwise your vet is expensive.
